Private Practice, Psychotherapy
Rebecca Carman, LCSW
For over a decade Ms. Carman has helped clients heal, grow, and move forward in their lives and careers. Her areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, trauma/CPTSD, self-esteem and identity, and relationships.
Ms. Carman brings an active approach to her work. Overcoming painful symptoms is the first priority. Over time, clients explore the past’s impact on the present and their unique views and potential. Perfectionism; feeling stuck or unmotivated; social anxiety; guilt and shame; loneliness; and acculturation are among the issues clients address in treatment.
Ms. Carman is a graduate of the Smith College School for Social Work with continued study at the William Alanson White Institute. She was on staff at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy and the Jewish Board of Family & Children’s Services. Her theoretical orientation is psychodynamic psychotherapy.
Ms. Carman’s practice is flexible in terms of scheduling and she sees each person’s work as key to their well-being. Her fee per session is $200. As of now, all sessions are being held remotely via secure video platform.
Ms. Carman does not participate in insurance panels. For those with out-of-network benefits she can provide receipts for reimbursement. Her initial consultation is free of charge.
